Melissa Di Marco – Partner, global co-lead for Energy & Infrastructure, Accuracy Canada

Melissa is a Partner in Canada, and leads the Project Advisory and Disputes practice for North America and is a global co-lead for Accuracy’s Energy & Infrastructure practice.

Over her 20-year career, Melissa has been involved in the implementation and procurement of large-scale projects, including various alternative delivery models such as Public-Private Partnerships as well as Capital Facilities planning and financing in Canada, United States and internationally. She developed her strong project management and commercial management skills during her previous roles with Bechtel and SNC-Lavalin working in various sectors including buildings, civil, mining & metals, institutions, industrial, health services and airports.

She is a civil engineering and construction professional with extensive knowledge in commercial contracts, project management best practices and risk management, having worked in various project sectors such as rail, transport, building, social infrastructure, mining, oil and gas and clean power.

Ralph Desando, CPA, CA, – Deputy CEO – Alternative Investments, Yorkville Asset Management Inc.

Ralph, Managing Director of Private Investments at Yorkville Asset Management, has been with the company since its inception in 2010. He is responsible for leading Yorkville’s strategic initiatives to provide clients access to investment opportunities in high quality Canadian healthcare companies. He has led the launch and growth of Yorkville’s Health Care Fund into one of Canada’s leading healthcare investment platforms. Since its launch, the fund has grown to approximately $550 mm of assets under administration, growing CareRX, Southbridge Healthcare LP, and Back in Motion to become leaders in the Canadian healthcare industry.

 

Sean Morley, Partner, Infrastructure & Projects, Fasken

Sean Morley’s practice is focused on project finance, public private partnerships and infrastructure development, with experience spanning Canada and the U.S. He also advises clients and organizations on ethically interacting with government.

Regularly assisting lenders, developers and contractors, Sean provides counsel on all aspects of projects and project finance in the infrastructure sector.  Sean has advised the winning consortium on numerous P3 projects, including the US 36 Express Lanes/Bus Rapid Transit Project, the Pennsylvania Bridges Project, the State Street Redevelopment Project (Indiana) and Merced Campus (UC) Project (CA). He also advised lenders to the winning consortium on the Waterloo Light Rail Project, and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT Project.   Other recent transactions include advising the lenders on the Humber River Regional Hospital Project, the Pan Am Athletes Village Project, the Quinte Courthouse Project, and the Windsor Essex Highway Project. He also advised equity investors in the Ontario Provincial Police Modernization Project and the Forensic Services and Coroner’s Complex Project, and the lenders in Partnerships BC’s Surrey Pretrial Centre Project. Sean’s practice also extends to Ontario’s and Canada’s lobbying reporting laws, election laws and campaign finance laws.
